I am the artist behind this shop. My name is Marly, I live in the east end of Ottawa, with my two kids, and my cheerleader of a husband.

Around the holidays at the end of 2018, I was a stay at home mom looking for a new hobby.
I pulled out some watercolour paints I inherited from my Nanny. I immediately fell in love with the medium and I haven't stopped painting since.

My dining room quickly became an art studio, with watercolour paints and paintbrushes hung on the walls, sketchbooks and pads of Arches everywhere I could fit them and my beloved porcelain palette always on our table. In the fall of 2020 we started making plans to build a studio in our backyard. It took us quite a chunk of time to build, as we did it all ourselves. As of December 2021, I finally have my own little art space in our backyard.

I am still completely in awe when someone trusts me to paint their best friend, or thinks that a friend would be overjoyed to receive a portrait as a gift.
