My social media handle has been Marlymcgb for as long as I’ve had a personal instagram. It’s my name, McG is for McGuire and the B is Beaudoin. The ‘Art” got added when I made my own art account. Even though many (my sister included) say Marly McG Bart, I am committed to it

After you place an order for a commission in my shop, your order confirmation email will prompt you to send me an email with all of your favourite photos.

Some people have sent links to google drive, or their pups instagram account. As long as the photos are clear and in focus, I can happily work from them.

Shipping within Canada is quite expensive as a small business. I do my best to keep packaging recyclable and simple.

For Canadian customers you have two shipping options, Regular Lettermail, which is untracked and uninsured. (I have shipped over 200 portraits as lettermail with Canada Post and have yet to have an issue, but there is no way to know where your painting is on its travels)
The second option is to upgrade your shipping to a tracked parcel, which comes with insurance.

I always will suggest upgrading your shipping.

Shipping times may vary depending on how many orders I currently have open, but I do my best to get all pieces shipped within three weeks of the order date.

I do not accept returns or refunds on custom artwork or commissions.I do my very best to make sure you love your painting. If there is something about it you do not like, I do everything I can to fix it.

It is also important to keep in mind that your painting is done by hand and is not a photograph.

I do not refund commissions.

If an order arrives damaged in any way please contact me and I will do my best to rectify the situation

My standard for pet portraits is a bust painting with the watercolour paper as the background, so your pet is the focus.

If you would like a background added to your piece, I request that you order the next size up from the size you'd like the painting to be to compensate for my time and effort. If you'd like a background on an 8x10 portrait, please order an 11x14. You will receive an 8x10 with a background, for the price of an 11x14

If you are within the Ottawa area and would prefer to pick up your painting, please let me know once you place your order, I now offer local pick ups.

I have a safe pick up location, at my house, (in the east end of Ottawa) if you feel comfortable doing so.

Once your order is ready for pick up, I will send you my address.
